Des Moines County Deputies were dispatched to Prairie Ridge Care and Rehabilitation in Mediapolis for an assault. Deputies were advised that a nurse and a client had both been assaulted. The suspect was identified as Suni Lane, age 48, of Davenport, IA. Deputies were advised by witnesses that Suni had punched a 91-year-old client and then elbowed a nurse. The nurse had a visible injury from being struck by Suni. The client had no visible injuries. Suni was placed under arrest for assault on persons in certain occupations causing bodily injury, a class D felony and assault on an older individual. Suni was transported to the Des Moines County Correctional Center.
