Burlington Police are increasing patrols downtown following a string of vandalism cases, including significant damage at the Burlington train depot. Officers responded late on December 31 and found multiple windows shattered and property damaged. A suspect was arrested at the scene, but police say they want to deter any additional incidents as investigations continue. The department is adding foot and vehicle patrols in the downtown corridor through the end of January. Business owners are being encouraged to report suspicious activity immediately as repairs continue at the depot.
