A spokesperson for United Auto Workers union thanked the community for its support as Case New Holland (CNH Industrial America LLC) proceeds with plans to shut down its Burlington facility.

Members of United Auto Workers Local 807, which represents workers at the plant, voted on a severance agreement on January 17 during a meeting held at the IAM Machinists Hall in Middletown. This comes as CNH continues final preparations to end production at the Burlington assembly plant by the second quarter of the year.

CNH had announced in November that the move to close the facility would take place after completing the decisional bargaining process with the UAW.

Approximately 200 employees are expected to be impacted by the shutdown.
