The Cascade Bridge replacement project in Burlington has scored a huge win. The City of Burlington announced it has secured $6 million in Community Project Funding through Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, helping move forward a long-anticipated infrastructure upgrade. The Cascade Bridge project is currently estimated at $10.5 million. Burlington Mayor Jon D. Billups said in a statement that the investment is a game-changer. The bridge has been closed to vehicle traffic for over a decade and pedestrian traffic years. It’s in the city’s five-year road plan.
