Henry County will have to wait a bit longer to find out how they’re going to replace their vacant county attorney seat. The Hawk Eye reports that at a meeting Thursday, County Board Chairman Chad White said he neglected to post the weekly agenda on the bulletin board outside of the board’s meeting room, and because the agenda must be posted publicly for at least 24 hours before action takes place, they were forced to reschedule. There’s a significant case load delay in the county while the position remains unfilled. Board members are split on whether to appoint someone to the seat or call a special election, which will take even more time. The position has been vacant since the resignation of Darin Stater at the beginning of the month.
