An Arkansas man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he fled from a traffic stop and was later arrested with drugs in Burlington on Wednesday night.

Terence Jay Gordon, 33, of Luxora, Arkansas, was arrested by the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office after a chase that started near Division street and ended at an apartment complex on Angular Street where police say Gordon took off on foot before being caught.

Deputies reported Gordon was found in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. An open container of alcohol was also located inside the vehicle.

Authorities further stated Gordon had outstanding arrest warrants for escape from custody and failure to appear for driving under suspension. He was transported to the Des Moines County Jail where he’s being held on a $5,000 cash-only bond.
