A fight earlier this month at a hotel in Mount Pleasant led to multiple charges against a Missouri man.
Mount Pleasant police officers were dispatched to the Quality Inn and Suites on East Baker Street shortly before midnight on Feburary 18th where, according to court records, the victim told officers she and 60-year-old Steven Piccinino of Saint Ann, Missouri, had been drinking before returning to their hotel room, where Piccinino allegedly punched her several times in the arm.
Police said Piccinino barricaded himself inside the room when officers attempted to make contact. Officers then forced entry and took him into custody after a brief struggle. During the arrest, Piccinino is accused of kicking an officer.
Piccinino is being held in the Henry County Jail on a $9,000 bond.
