A Mount Pleasant man has been arrested following a fatal shooting at a Burlington bar over the weekend.
22-year-old Kaysean A. Rice was charged with second-degree murder after Police say he shot and killed a woman at around 11:20 PM Saturday night at Chavy’s Bar on Agency Street. Police arrested Rice in Mount Pleasant.
Chavy’s bar writes on Facebook apologizing to customers for the incident and are promising to improve security. They closed Sunday for cleaning and to give staff a day off.
Rice was also charged with reckless use of a firearm and intimidation with a dangerous weapon (aggravated misdemeanor).
