The Iowa Attorney General’s Office is warning Iowans about a scam fundraising website tied to a fallen Iowa soldier.
Officials say the site DeclanCoadyFoundation.com falsely claims to raise money for Declan Coady, a West Des Moines Army reservist who was killed this month in Kuwait.
Brenna Bird is urging people to make sure they donate only to legitimate fundraisers.
Those include the official memorial fund set up by Drake University and the family’s verified GoFundMe campaign.
