An election judge in McDonough County, Illinois has been removed after reportedly telling a voter he “should be shot” at a polling place in Macomb.

The McDonough County Clerk’s Office confirmed the judge was asked to leave Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church polling location.

Voter Chris Sutton told a Quincy TV Station he was requesting a Democratic ballot when the election judge allegedly told him he “should be shot.”

Sutton says after voting, he immediately reported the incident to the clerk, and the judge was then removed.

Sutton also said he was surprised no other election worker intervened at the time.
