Toll collection has been temporarily suspended for drivers crossing the Fort Madison Bridge.
According to BNSF Railway, the pause is due to issues with a newly installed toll collection system. As a result, gate arms at the bridge have been raised, allowing traffic to pass without paying tolls for now.
Officials say tolling will resume once the system problems are resolved by the vendor.
