A grain truck struck the operator’s deck of a grain auger at an elevator in Warsaw on Tuesday.
Authorities say the truck, which was hauling corn, was traveling downhill at a high rate of speed near the intersection of Water and Main streets when it struck the operator’s deck of a grain auger near a grain elevator. Police also reported the vehicle ran over a goose before the collision.
The driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital. No other injuries were reported, and the driver’s condition has not yet been released.
