The Central Lee Community School District posted a graduation rate above the state average for the class of 2025, according to new data from the Iowa Department of Education.

Central Lee’s four-year graduation rate reached 95 percent, topping the statewide rate of 89 percent, which is Iowa’s highest in five years and the first time it has surpassed pre-pandemic levels since 2020. The district’s five-year graduation rate for the class of 2024 was even higher at 97 percent, compared to the state average of 91 percent.

District leaders credited students, staff, and families for the results, pointing to a strong focus on helping students reach graduation and prepare for the future. The district also reported low dropout rates, at 0.56 percent for grades 7-12 and 0.85 percent for grades 9-12.
