Born December 16, 1936, in New London, she was the daughter of Willis T and Mabel Celestine Sheppard Christe. On November 3, 1956, she married Rueben Johannas Larsen in Clovis, NM. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1994.
She attended Mount Union School. Mary worked as a Home Health Aide and a cook until she retired.
She was of the Methodist faith. Mary enjoyed traveling and was always looking for a good deal at yard sales and garage sales.
Survivors include her son, David Lee Larsen of Danville; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Patricia) Chirste of Thayer, MO; two nieces and eight nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Ronnie, Larry and George Christe and two sisters., Betty Jane Christe and Phyllis Turnquist.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
The memorial service for Mary will be 10:00 AM Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street with Pastor JudyAnn Morse officiating. Private burial will be held in Keokuk National Cemetery.

Ronald L. “Ron” McDowell, 82, of Mt. Pleasant, died suddenly at his home on Thursday, April 9, 2026. He was born December 31, 1943 in Mt. Pleasant to Orville Clifford and Wilma Frances Lee McDowell. On July 4, 1970 he married Beatrice Lynn Parker at the Salem Friends Church. Ron attended schools in Salem and Mt. Pleasant and attended the Trenton Methodist Church. He was drafted into the Army in 1966, went to Vietnam in 1967, and returned home in 1968.
He worked as a plumber and pipe fitter and retired from the Henry County Health Center maintenance department after twenty-five years.
Ron was a member of the Moose; Mt. Pleasant VFW Post #2561; American Legion #94 of Salem; and was a lifetime member of AmVets. He served on the Salem fire department; enjoyed camping and fishing; attending his grandchildren’s sports; bird watching; and especially loved when family came over to visit.
Besides his wife Bea of Mt. Pleasant, Ron is survived by his daughter Teri Stoltz of Keosauqua; son Charles (Wendy) McDowell of Salem; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his brother Richard (Susi) McDowell of Alba, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Kenny McDowell; and sister Esther in infancy.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Elliott Chapel in New London, where the family will greet friends from 12:00 until the time of the service. Pastors Jeff McPheron and Deb Savage will officiate. Burial with full military rites by the Henry County Honor Guard will follow at Salem East Cemetery. Linda Ann Murphy, 83, of Burlington, died Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the OakView Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Burlington.
Born October 20, 1942, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Harold Fred and Mary Lillian Johnson Seaman. On February 28, 1964, she married Thomas Rankin Murphy in Fort Madison, IA.
She graduated from Burlington High School and went on to complete two years of junior college.
Linda worked at Sylvania before she left to raise a family. She was a devoted mother who dedicated most of her life to caring for her family.
She was very creative, using her creativity from creating greeting cards and ceramic, to decorate storefront windows around town. Linda enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Cubs, raising many birds and learning about Abraham Lincoln by supporting the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, IL.
Survivors include her husband, Tom of Burlington; three sons, Christopher Thomas Murphy of Burlington, Michael Shawn (Nicole) Murphy of Chatham, IL, and Timothy Aaron (Steve Warren) Murphy of Springfield, IL; one daughter, Kelly Lynn (Dale) Johns of Burlington; two grandchildren, Daniel Murphy Johns, and Tara Lynn Johns; and one brother, James (Flo) Seaman of Gladstone, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
A Celebration of Life will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, April 20, 2026 at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.

Born June 16, 1925, in Braddock, PA, she was the daughter of George and Mary Petruska Rosipayla. On October 11, 1944, she married Richard Leland O’Daniels in Portsmouth, Virginia. He passed on February 3, 2020.
She was a graduate of Braddock High School in Braddock, Pennsylvania
Mary worked for IRC-TRW for 23 years.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish and St. Theresa Circle. She enjoyed quilting, making over 150 quilts and donated many. She also enjoyed baking.
Survivors include one son, Bob O’Daniels of Camano Island, WA; three daughters, Diane Croft and Kathy Akers, both of Eldridge, IA, and Patricia O’Daniels of Arlington, TX; one daughter-in-law, Kerry O’Daniels of Cave Creek, AZ; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Rosipayla of Castle Rock, CO; one sister, Helen Newman of Trafford, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Rick O’Daniels, one grandson, Brian O’Daniels and one granddaughter, Stephanie Cruchlow.

Visitation will be from noon until 6:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.
The Memorial Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. O’Daniels will be 11:30 AM Thursday, April 16, 2026, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Fr. Jake Greiner as the Celebrant. A time of food and fellowship will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church following the service. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
