
Average gasoline prices in Iowa have dropped 13.7 cents per gallon over the past week, now averaging $3.55, according to GasBuddy.
Despite the weekly decline, prices remain 22 cents higher than a month ago and 61.6 cents above this time last year. Diesel prices also saw a decrease, with the national average falling 11.7 cents to $5.50 per gallon. Across Iowa, the lowest reported price was $3.03 per gallon, while the highest reached $4.54—a spread of $1.51.
Nationally, gas prices fell 9.4 cents over the past week to an average of $3.97 per gallon. That figure is slightly higher than a month ago and up 87.4 cents compared to a year ago, based on GasBuddy’s nationwide survey of more than 150,000 stations.
