The City of Mount Pleasant this week celebrated the completion of a major expansion project at the Mount Pleasant Municipal Airport, marking a roughly $3.15 million investment in regional aviation infrastructure and economic development.
The project included construction of new T-hangars and taxi lanes aimed at accommodating growing aviation demand across southeast Iowa.
City officials said the airport continues to expand its role in supporting agriculture, business travel, recreation, and transportation services throughout the area.
