
A Cambridge, IL man has been sentenced to more than 10 years in federal prison after being convicted of attempted enticement of a minor in Burlington.
According to court documents, 55-year-old Christopher L. Rutherford, 55, communicated through Facebook with two undercover officers posing as underage teenagers and discussed plans to meet for sexual activity.
Authorities said Rutherford arranged to meet one of the undercover officers at a Walmart in West Burlington, where he was arrested.
Rutherford was sentenced to 125 months in federal prison. After completing his prison term, he will also serve five years of supervised release.
