
Average gasoline prices across Iowa increased 9.2 cents per gallon over the last week, reaching an average of $4.31 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 2,036 stations statewide.
Gas prices in Iowa are now 73.3 cents higher than a month ago and $1.37 per gallon above prices recorded one year ago.
GasBuddy reported the lowest price in Iowa on the previous day was $3.76 per gallon, while the highest was $5.38 per gallon, creating a statewide spread of $1.62 per gallon.
Nationally, average gasoline prices dipped by 1 cent during the past week to $4.47 per gallon. Despite the slight weekly decline, prices remain 45.2 cents higher than a month ago and $1.33 per gallon above year-ago levels.
The national average price for diesel fuel decreased by 0.5 cents and now stands at $5.618 per gallon.
