
Drivers across Iowa are seeing some relief at the pump. According to GasBuddy’s latest survey of more than 2,000 gas stations statewide, the average price of regular gasoline has dropped nearly 20 cents per gallon over the past week and now stands at $3.96 a gallon.
GasBuddy reports Iowa gas prices are about a penny lower than they were a month ago, but remain just over a dollar higher than this time last year. The lowest reported price in the state was $3.43 a gallon, while the highest was $5.11, a difference of $1.68 per gallon.
Nationally, the average price of gasoline also fell by about 19-and-a-half cents over the last week to $4.26 a gallon. Meanwhile, the national average price of diesel fuel dropped 15-and-a-half cents and now stands at $5.44 per gallon.
