Four Keokuk students and one district staff member are in stable condition after they were hurt Friday afternoon in a school bus accident on Argyle Road. One child suffered a broken arm, while some others had bumps and bruises.
The accident happened around 1:50 p.m. Interim Superintendent Todd Liechty says the district worked with emergency services and law enforcement to contact the families involved and provide updates to the rest of the district.
The district and local authorities are investigating the crash. Additional counseling services will be available in Keokuk schools this morning.
