Firefighters on a ladder truck spraying the downtown Tama Building
The blaze continues to be extinguished by fire crews. It is difficult to see any live fire, but there may still be hot spots towards the interior of what is left of the building. The wall of the Tama Building facing Washington Street partially collapsed. The smoke from the continued efforts of putting out all fire in the building is blowing up the hill toward the library and St. Paul’s Catholic Church, so please exercise caution when traveling through town today.
