Mount Pleasant, Ia (KTVO)- A combination KFC/Taco Bell restaurant in Mount Pleasant has been deemed a total loss after a fire on Sunday.
TV station KTVO reports that fire crews were called to the scene just after 1 AM for reports of smoke and flames coming from the fast-food restaurant.
When crews arrived, there were flames coming from the roof, and firefighters worked to put out the flames for nearly five hours. Luckily, no one was inside the building at the time.
Mount Pleasant Fire Chief Drew Schumacher said McDonald’s employees next-door provided his department with a meal after the fire was put out.
The New London Fire Department assisted in this call. No injuries were reported.
