Burlington, IA- The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Burlington man for domestic assault.
On Wednesday, September 8th, 2021, at about 12:16 PM deputies were dispatched to 11686 Beaverdale Road #68 for a domestic incident in progress.
Deputies arrived and discovered that 38-year-old Stephen Clark Houghton of Burlington had assaulted his girlfriend causing injury. Houghton was also found to be in violation of a protection order.
Houghton was placed under arrest for serious domestic abuse assault and violation of a protection order. He was transported to the Des Moines County Jail and held with no bond.
