
Carthage, Ill.- The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Warsaw, Illinois man on multiple charges.
According to a news release, at about 4:30 PM Thursday, May 12th, a Hancock County Deputy stopped a vehicle on US 136 near County Road 1600 E.
A passenger in the vehicle, 24-year-old Sean Nelson of Warsaw had a valid warrant for his arrest through Hancock County for Failure to Appear on a No Valid Driver’s License Charge.
A bag belonging to Nelson was searched and found inside was a .22 caliber handgun with a defaced serial number, 1.3 grams of methamphetamine, a glass smoking pipe containing methamphetamine residue, and 55.2 grams of cannabis.
Nelson was arrested and transported to the Hancock County Jail.
