Burlington, IA- The City of Burlington has announced that the Dankwardt Park Pool will not be opening on Memorial Day as planned.
According to a news release, the pool will not be opening due to unforeseen issues with the pool liner.
The company responsible for repairs is planning to be on-site the week of May 30th. Park staff is tentatively planning for a pool opening by June 10th, subject to completion of repairs and time for pool operations to begin.
Due to the delay, session 1 of swimming lessons will be canceled. Those registered will be notified to change session dates or refunds will be offered.
