Davenport, IA- A Jury has convicted two men on multiple charges for a series of shootings in Davenport.
Radio Iowa reports that federal prosecutors say 26-year-old Najawaun Marcus Quinn and 30-year-old Dimetri Alexander Smith were members of the Savage Life Boys or SLB street gang.
According to a news release from the US Attorney’s Office, the two men were involved in a shooting at a Davenport home in October of 2016 and two shootings in downtown Davenport in 2017 and all three shootings were due to a feud with a rival gang.
Another member of the gang has pleaded guilty to a 2017 murder at the Hotel Davenport and prosecutors say Quinn and Smith were involved in that shooting as well. The men were convicted in federal court after a seven-day jury trial and will be sentenced later.
