Des Moines County Sheriff: Danville man arrested for burglary

Burlington, IA-  The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Danville, Iowa man for 3rd Degree Burglary.

According to a news release, on Sunday, April 2nd at about 9:32 AM, Des Moines County Deputies were dispatched to 14468 145th Ave. in reference to a burglary of a residence.

The victim told deputies that two people had entered the residence at about 4 AM and stole her dog.  The victim had video surveillance and was able to identify one of the suspects as 44-year-old Paul Russell Swartzlander of Danville, Iowa.

Deputies were able to locate and interview Swartzlander (above), who denied his involvement in the burglary.  The victim’s dog was then located by deputies at Swartzlander’s residence.

Swartzlander was placed under arrest for Burglary, 3rd Degree.
