Burlington, IA- The Burlington Police Department says a man has been arrested for burglary after a business owner spotted the man on their surveillance cameras.
According to a news release, on Saturday, May 13th at 12:25 PM, Burlington Police Officers responded to 123 S. 3rd Street when the business owner observed someone inside the building on their surveillance cameras.
Officers located signs of forced entry, and conducted a search of the building. An individual, later identified as 41-year-old Cheyenne John Stone, was found hiding in the basement of the building. Officers located pry bars, a saw, and a set of hedge trimmers in the area where Stone was hiding and near the door where entry was made into the building.
Stone was arrested and charged with 3rd Degree Burglary and Possession of Burglary Tools.
