
Nauvoo, Ill.- The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Nauvoo, Illinois man for multiple drug-related charges.
According to a news release, at 4:31 PM Sunday, June 18th a Henderson County Deputy stopped a vehicle on US 34 at 1350 East for a traffic violation.
While the Deputy spoke with the occupants of the vehicle he could smell the odor of cannabis. Following a subsequent search of the vehicle and occupants, the deputy found 68-year-old Madison G. Sterne to be in possession of several controlled substances.
The Deputy located pills that were not prescribed to Sterne, alprazolam, and MDMA. The Deputy also located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in Sterne’s possession.
Sterne has been charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
