
Burlington, IA- Construction work at Burlington High School continued on Friday.
The Hawk Eye reports that the construction is a series of additions and renovations, with the total project costing about $35 million.
The work includes updates to multiple classrooms and school facilities, a new main entrance, a corridor connecting the main building to the industrial arts building, and the installation of a new HVAC system.
The projects are funded by both Secure an Advanced Vision for Education and Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds.
According to the school district, this will be the largest construction project in Burlington since the completion of Catfish Bend Casino in 2007.
Construction is expected to take place through 2025.
