Burlington, IA- The Burlington Parks and Recreation Department has released an update on the Dankwardt Park Playground Project.
According to an online post, the old playground equipment has been removed, a contract has been awarded for construction and installation of the new playground.
Preparation work has started, which includes clearing, grading, and dirt work. Harry Hatt Drive may be closed during construction.
In order to complete the entire project, which includes sidewalk connections, parking, landscaping and site amenities, $220,800 in additional funds are still needed.
