
Ottumwa, IA- Two Ottumwa men have been arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana.
TV Station KCRG reports that the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office and Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Task Force began investigating after a farmer reported that a small patch of marijuana plants were found on his property.
On Thursday, October 5th, authorities located two men harvesting the plants. The two men attempted to run away but were apprehended.
The two men, 63-year-old Mark Burtlow and 59-year-old Kevin Hewitt, were arrested and charged with Manufacturing Marijuana, and Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamps.
