Burlington, IA- The results of the 2023 Burlington City Council Election are in.
According to the unofficial results, in the election for the Burlington City Council, Kay Weiss received the most votes with 1,508 votes. Timothy Scott came in second with 1,127 votes, Incumbent Robert Critser came in third with 1,075 votes, and Jennifer Clever-Kirkman received 965 votes.
Comprising approximately 60% of SCC student body, first-gen college students are the first in their families to pursue higher education.
In the election to fill a vacancy on the city council, Antonio Bailey received the most votes with 1,161. Terry Schnack came in second with 1,057 votes.
