Muscatine County, IA- A West Liberty resident was killed and two others were injured in a car accident Saturday, November 11th, in rural Muscatine County.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2015 Ford Explorer was going northbound on Highway 70 at 200th Street South of Nichols in rural Muscatine County at about 6 AM Saturday. The vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2011 Chevy Malibu.
The ISP says the driver of the Malibu was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and suffered fatal injuries. A 4-year-old child, who was also in the Malibu was restrained in a car seat at the time of the crash.
The child and the driver of the Explorer were taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment of their injuries.
The names of those involved have yet to be released.
