
Burlington, IA- The Burlington Police Department has announced the arrest of a Wisconsin man on multiple charges.
According to a news release, at about 12:29 AM Thursday, December 14th, Burlington Police Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Valley Street regarding a robbery at an establishment.
When officers arrived, they located 39-year-old Taronzo Payne of Waupun Wisconsin, nearby.
Through an investigation, officers learned that a robbery had not occurred, however, Payne was accused of displaying a firearm to witnesses.
Two firearms were located on Payne’s person, one of which was stolen.
Payne was arrested on warrants out of Wisconsin and additionally charged with Public Intoxication, Theft in the 5th Degree, Ineligible Persons to Possess a Dangerous Weapon, and two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
