
Carthage, Ill.- The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Carthage Police Department, and LaHarpe Police Department has announced the arrests of two people resulting from a joint investigation among the three agencies.
According to a news release, on Tuesday, December 12th, a traffic stop conducted by Carthage Police led to the arrest of two suspects in the case.
35-year-old Joshua Cramer of Clinton, IA and 32-year-old Christin Vanpelt of Davenport, IA were both arrested during the stop.
Cramer was charged with Driving While License Revoked, Operating a Vehicle with Suspended Registration, Operating an Uninsured Vehicle, Obstructing Identification, and a Warrant out of Rock Island County, Ill.
Vanpelt was charged with Obstructing a Peace Officer, Possession of Stolen Dealer Plates, and Possession of Ammunition without a FOID card.
Both were housed in the Hancock County Jail awaiting detention hearings.
All agencies were working together to investigate reports of vehicle burglaries and stolen vehicles in the LaHarpe area.
