Davenport, IA- A Davenport man was sentenced Thursday, February 1st, 2024, to 210 months in federal prison for the distribution and receipt of child pornography.
According to public court documents at the time of his plea, 23-year-old Benji Clark Engesser was identified by law enforcement when a parent reported that they had found their minor child exchanging sexual pictures with an adult.
The phone number of the adult was traced to Engesser.
During the execution of the search warrant, law enforcement seized Engesser’s phone and uncovered images and videos of child sex abuse material. Law enforcement determined that the images and videos had been both received and distributed from Engesser’s phone.
Following his prison term, Engesser will be required to serve ten years of supervised release.
United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal of the Southern District of Iowa made the announcement. This case was investigated by the Davenport Police Department.
