
Carthage, Ill.- The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Dallas City, Illinois woman on multiple charges.
According to a news release, at about 10:27 PM Thursday, February 8th, a Hancock County Deputy attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Colusa, Ill.
The vehicle attempted to elude the deputy for a short time and subsequently came to a stop in Colusa.
The driver, 26-year-old Mikayla N. Miller was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Driving With a Suspended License, Resisting a Peace Officer, and Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Peace Officer.
Miller was released with a future court date assigned.
At about 3:36 PM Friday, February 9th, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of an unknown female stranger passed out in the caller’s residence in rural Carthage.
Officers and deputies arrived and discovered Miller, who had allegedly taken medication inside the residence that belonged to the homeowner.
Miller was treated by Hancock County EMS and taken to Memorial Hospital. Upon release from the hospital, Miller was arrested and charged with Residential Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Trespass.
