Macomb man arrested for methamphetamine distribution as a result of a search warrant

Macomb, Ill.-  Authorities have announced the arrest of a Macomb, Illinois man as a result of the execution of a search warrant.

According to a news release, in a collaborative effort between the Macomb Police Department and the West Central Illinois Task Force, a search warrant was executed on Tuesday, March 12th at 440 North Campbell Street in Macomb.

The joint investigation was based on the distribution of methamphetamine in the Macomb/McDonough County area.

The operation resulted in the arrest of 38-year-old Eason Bishop of Macomb.

Bishop was charged with Methamphetamine Delivery of over 400 grams. He was detained at the McDonough County Jail awaiting a detention hearing.

The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are anticipated.
