Burlington, IA-  The Snake Alley Criterium will return to Burlington this Memorial Day Weekend.

The events will kick off on Friday night with the Friday Night Fever race, an 11-block, .88-mile loop course that starts on North 4th and High Streets.  Riders then ride north to North Street, West to North 5th, South to High Street then East to North 4th Street completing the loop.

The Snake Alley Criterium will look somewhat different in 2024.

The Saturday races will take place on a 27-block course entirely on city streets, in a downtown commercial area and a historic residential district.

The Saturday Route extends from North and High Streets south to Jefferson Street, and will include portions of Washington, Main, and North 5th and 6th Streets.

These areas will also be closed off on Saturday until the races conclude around 5:30 PM.

Vehicles parked in the area are advised to vacate by Noon on Friday, May 24th, with regular traffic in the area resuming on Saturday evening.
