
Burlington, IA- The Burlington Police Department has announced multiple arrests related to ongoing investigations.
According to a news release, as part of multiple ongoing shots fired investigations, the Burlington Police Department obtained a search warrant for 1326 Griswold Street, which was executed at 9 AM on Wednesday, June 19th by the Des Moines County Tactical Unit.
As a result of the search warrant, a 14-year-old juvenile was charged with being a minor in possession of a dangerous weapon and transported to Juvenile Detention.
Later on Wednesday, Burlington Police Officers located two persons of interest related to the shots fired investigations at South 10th and Walnut Street.
One of the individuals, a 17-year-old juvenile, had a juvenile pick-up order for violation of a court order. He was later transported to Juvenile Detention.
The other individual, identified as 18-year-old Antwan Jones, was found to be in possession of a firearm. Jones was arrested and charged with being a person ineligible to carry a firearm.
