According to AAA, as of Wednesday, September 18th, the average price of gas in Iowa was $2.97 per gallon.
The average price of gas in the state was 9 cents lower than the previous week, and 87 cents lower than one year ago.
The national average price of gas was down 3 cents from the previous week to $3.22 per gallon.
