Grandview man arrested on multiple charges

Louisa County, IA-  The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Grandview man on multiple charges.

According to a news release, at about 12:55 PM Monday, September 23rd, the Louisa County Dispatch Center received a call regarding an intoxicated man in Grandview at Petro and More gas station.

Deputies arrived and further located the man in Grandview, who had also been previously trespassed from the property.

33-year-old Christopher Cosenza of Grandview was taken into custody after being found intoxicated and further becoming hostile with deputies and uncooperative with field sobriety testing.

Cosenza was then arrested and taken to the Louisa County Jail.

While in the jail Cosenza again became uncooperative and began to attempt to fight with deputies and jail staff.

During this incident, Cosenza caused injury to a Deputy Sheriff and property damage to jail items. Cosenza further attempted to headbutt another Deputy and was restrained.

As a result of the incident, Cosenza was charged with Assault on a peace officer, Operating while intoxicated 2nd offense, two counts of Interference with official acts, Criminal mischief, and Trespassing.

Cosenza posted a cash-only bond and was released from the Louisa County Jail on Wednesday, September 25th.
