U.S. Marshals Arrest Burlington Homicide Suspect in Chicago

U.S. Marshals arrested an 18-year-old suspect in Chicago in connection with a fatal November 24 shooting in Burlington. Shermando Harper was taken into custody on December 2nd on Des Moines County warrants for first-degree murder and attempted murder. He is currently being held at the Des Moines County Jail.

The Burlington Police Department, which expressed gratitude to the U.S. Marshals and other agencies involved, stated that this arrest is a significant development in the case. However, the investigation remains active, and no additional details have been released.
