Local and state leaders say they’re doing everything they can to prevent the potential closure of Burlington’s Case New Holland plant in 2026. CNH Industrial’s plans to end operations when its union contract expires would eliminate about 350 jobs and affect a network of local suppliers.
Mayor Jon Billups and Rep. Taylor Collins say they’ve contacted state and federal officials and discussed incentives like Iowa’s High Quality Jobs Program. Billups also spoke with union leaders, company executives, and state officials, emphasizing the area’s strong workforce and cost advantages.
CNH is pausing North American and European shipments due to tariffs but says production is unaffected for now.
