Great River Health is seeking volunteers to support hospice patients and families across Des Moines, Henry, Lee, Louisa, and Van Buren counties. A two-day training session will be held August 20–21 at the Fort Madison campus from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Volunteers assist primarily in home settings, offering companionship, running errands, helping with fundraising, and supporting administrative work. Virtual volunteers can also contribute by crafting comfort items like lap blankets or post-surgery pillows.
