Burlington man arrested on child exploitation charges

Oquawka, Ill.-  The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office says a Burlington man was arrested on child exploitation charges.

On October 31st, Henderson County Deputies arrested 47-year-old Marvin Bedenbender of Burlington on multiple felony charges related to the attempted exploitation of a child.

The arrest occurred in Oquawka, Illinois, following an investigation that began after deputies obtained information regarding online communications, allegedly involving Bedenbender and an individual he believed to be a minor.

Bedenbender is charged with Traveling to Meet a Minor, Indecent Solicitation of a Child, Grooming, and Solicitation to Meet a Child.
