Burlington, IA- The Burlington Police Department says a Burlington woman was arrested on Wednesday, November 5th, for stealing an American flag.
At about 10 AM Wednesday, Burlington Police officers were made aware that the American flag that had been displayed on the flagpole outside the department had been stolen overnight.
Officers reviewed surveillance footage, and found that about 1:19 AM, an individual removed the flag and left the scene with it.
Officers identified the suspect as 60-year-old Christina Luedtke of Burlington, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Luedtke was arrested on Friday and charged with 4th degree theft.
