Burlington Police are installing new license plate reader cameras at key intersections to help track stolen vehicles and support criminal investigations. The department says the technology will only capture plate numbers, not faces, and data will be stored for a limited time under state guidelines. Officials say the system has already helped nearby cities solve burglary and theft cases. Installation is expected to be complete by early February.
