Fort Madison’s toll bridge will be closed later this year, with BNSF saying they’ll close the bridge to road traffic between May 4th and June 26th and again from September 21st to November 20th.
The railroad says the closures are due to road work in the interest of public safety.
Digital signs on the bridge say there will be weekend closures later this week and on through March 3rd.
